LA MIA PRIMAVERA

Exhibition Statement

La Mia Primavera was born from an encounter that was never truly

an encounter.

It was born from love and desire for a woman, from the attempt to move closer to something that could never be returned in the same way it was felt. These photographs became the way I found to remain close to that desire.

To observe it without consuming it.

To let myself be carried by the longing to discover a body, to imagine it, to admire it, to long to kiss it, without any of it necessarily having to become real.

Through photography, I found a space where I could experience that love without possessing it.

A place where my mind could love in the way my body longed to. Every image was born from this tension: between presence

and distance, between what could happen and what remains imagined.

The body then becomes an emotional space, a place onto which care, longing, nostalgia and discovery are projected.

This series also became a rediscovery of desire itself.

Of a part of me I had believed had fallen silent.

It made me suffer and it taught me how to love.

It brought me joy, and it brought me to tears.

It forced me to tear down the walls I had built to protect myself and to open myself to questions I had never found the courage to face.

La Mia Primavera is this:

the moment something inside me began to bloom again.

And, in trying to love someone else,

I learned to love myself more deeply.

Within me, You will always be my Spring.
